"Hey! You there!" The fisherman yelled across the dock.
I turn to see his grimy face, with his dark grey beard and wrinkles. He wore a yellow rain jacket and had a rusty hook on one wrist. His eyes were beady and black, like a rats. It seemed as if he were from a story book.
"Yes good sir?" I reply. He turns and walks away, towards the lighthouse. The humongous red and white striped light house(The red had faded over the years) sat on the cliff. The waves were calm today, but still they were splashing onto the lighthouse.
I follow the old man, to make sure he was all right. Had he had a illness? it was quite unusual for someone to call out to me and then walk away. I follow him into the lighthouse, and all the way up the stairs. He didn't notice me the whole way, even when i called out to him. I stopped behind him for a moment to catch a breath. Climbing that many flights of stairs took a lot of breathin'. I ran up to the top of the lighthouse expecting to find the sailor, but he was no where in sight. It was dark now, and the clouds couldn't be seen. I could hear the salty waters splash against the light house, louder than before. The seas had gone wild. I looked over the railing, down into the ocean, and thought i could see a yellow rain jacket in the dark waters.
I backed away from the railing and went home.
